The bottom line is always academic achievement based on assessment results. However,
schools and districts want to measure what is happening IN THE CLASSROOM as a result
of professional development.
Learning Bridges and McREL (Mid-continent Research on Education and Learning) co-developed
two surveys to measure the depth of implementation in the classroom and the context
variables needed to assure a successful implementation.
The Strategies Implementation Survey provides administrators
with a measure of classroom application of research-based instruction with state
standards. Reports provide classroom implementation by strategy, by subject, and
for the most powerful universal strategies.
The Context Variables Survey assesses areas that
will assist teachers in being successful, e.g., principal support, sense of efficacy,
adequate access to technology, etc. Reports provide information for administrators
on the environment that is needed for success.
These Program Evaluation tools allow districts to measure the depth of implementation
to the classroom level of the Learning Bridges System.
