The Content Pedagogy Inventory assesses the proficiency of teachers on the most effective, research-based strategies linked to student performance goals.

Teachers and administrators often choose the strategies to be assessed BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THE SYNTHESIS SYSTEM. Each strategy assessment has 10 questions based on 3 – 4 scenario-based Decision Sets.

The following reports are available from the Content Pedagogy Inventory:
  • Confidential Teacher Report
  • School Composite Report

Confidential Teacher Report

The Confidential Teacher Report provides teachers with the level of proficiency on each research-based instructional strategy chosen for assessment, as well as the Ability to Modify Instruction for Diverse Learners. Proficiency is reported as: Novice, Basic, Proficient, and Expert. This information allows teachers to make informed decisions for professional development on research-based instructional strategies aligned to the State Standards.

School Composite Report

The School Composite Report provides school administrators with information on the number of teachers assessed for each research-based instructional strategy, and the percentage of teachers scoring at the Novice, Basic, Proficient, and Expert level on each strategy assessed. It allows administrators to make data-driven decisions about where to focus professional development efforts aligned to standards so that student performance can be improved.

Teacher proficiency data can be aggregated and reported at the

  1. District
  2. Regional
  3. State levels

These reports guide professional development and teacher quality decision-making.
