Strategy Assessment System |

The Strategy Assessment System assesses the proficiency of teachers on the most effective, research-based
strategies linked to student performance goals.
Teachers and administrators often choose the strategies to be assessed BASED ON
THE RESULTS OF THE SYNTHESIS SYSTEM. Each strategy
assessment has 10 questions based on 3 – 4 scenario-based Decision
Sets.
The following reports are available from the Online Strategy Assessment System.

Confidential Teacher Report that provides teachers
with the level of proficiency on each research-based instructional strategy chosen
for assessment, as well as the Ability to Modify Instruction
for Diverse Learners. Proficiency is reported as: Novice,
Basic, Proficient, and Expert. This information allows teachers to
make informed decisions for professional development on research-based instructional
strategies aligned to the State Standards.

School Composite Report provides school administrators
with information on the number of teachers assessed for each research-based instructional
strategy, and the percentage of teachers scoring
at the Novice, Basic, Proficient, and Expert level
on each strategy assessed. It allows administrators to make data-driven decisions
about where to focus professional development efforts aligned to standards so that
student performance can be improved.
